The "IF" Contingency By Rev. James A. Lewis, Ohio
The definition of the word
if is described as, “A possibility,
condition, or stipulation”.
Have you ever
considered
So therefore, we can conclude that Gods Word gives us many possibilities, conditions, and stipulations, which guarantees or promises (something) in an agreement likened to a contract between two parties, which can, and will occur, if we first meet the conditions of the agreement. The American Heritage College Dictionary describes the word “Contingent” as an event or condition likely to occur, dependent upon conditions. That means there are 1,282 conditions likely to occur, contingent upon conditions that must be first met by you and me. |

In 1996, Jody and I went to the Bank to see if we could obtain a loan to build our home. And the Bank drew up a contract, which stated that they would provide us with the money that was needed to build our home, if we promised to repay them back in a certain amount of time, along with a certain amount of interest. By signing this contract up front, we came together in agreement contingent upon certain conditions, and the monies were provided to build our home. Therefore, in many ways,
Gods Word is the legal, binding, contract
that He has offered to us, filled with an
abundance of blessings, contingent upon
certain conditions that we must first come
into agreement with, in order for those
blessings to occur.
God is laying out before us in the beginning
of this sentence, the possibility, the
conditions, and the stipulations that we
must meet in order for As you come into agreement with those conditions, just wait and see what the Lord will do for you! Copyright © Rev. James Lewis 2011 Webmaster All rights reserved. Ministries Website: Word of Life Ministries
