The Month of December is always such a joyous and refreshing time of the year.  All over the World, those who love and follow Jesus Christ are busy making preparations to welcome the Celebration of Christmas.

Spirits are high, laughter fills the air, children running around feeling so carefree, gay with laughter and fun.  Beautiful Christmas melodies and Christmas Carols are soon heard all over towns and shopping malls and lovely colorful decorations can be seen in many homes and public places.  We all love Christmas.

As the day approaches nearer and nearer to Christmas Day, the pulse of the entire village, town and city come abuzz with frantic festive revelers making last minute purchases of lovely gifts and presents of all kinds to send to friends, family and loved ones.  Wow… this is truly one beautiful season of the year and I love it too.

Yet in all this, do you know what Christmas is all about?  It is more than just a time of festive enjoyment and making laughter and giving and receiving presents from one another.  It is more than just a time of family reunion and a time of fun and frolic. 

If you are a father or a mother, and you love your only child very much, what would be your most precious gift you will bring to this, your beloved child this Christmas, I wonder?

Friends, do you know – you and I have a Father in Heaven too.  Yes, we have a very loving, caring, faithful and merciful Father.  The Truth is, our Heavenly Father is GOD and GOD looks at you and me whom He had created as His very precious and much loved child.  Just as an earthly father who loves his only child very, very much and wants only to give him the very best, our GOD Almighty in Heaven wants to give you and me, nothing, but His best!

Thanks be to GOD, out of the richness and fullness of His Glory and Majesty, and welling up from within the deepest depth of His heart, our Father GOD has already given to all mankind His Most Precious and Greatest Gift, a gift that no amount of money, material goods or good deeds can buy.  The fact is, GOD’s Gift is priceless!  You can never receive it in any other way, except just to receive it in faith!

You see, you cannot buy it, you cannot work for it and you are not good enough to earn it.  It is not for Sale!  GOD has given it entirely out of the abundance of His grace.  We can only open our heart to Him and receive this Gift through faith on GOD’s terms, and His terms only.  You cannot negotiate for it, instead, you must accept it with thanksgiving and sincerity of heart and soul following GOD’s terms 100 percent!  No other way will do.  Amen.

Who or what is this Amazing Gift we are talking about here?  The Holy Bible tells us clearly without any doubt, and with full authority that this Greatest Gift of GOD was given to humanity everywhere some two thousand years ago – yes, it was GOD’s only begotten Son called Jesus Christ!  It costs us nothing to receive this Gift, but it costs GOD The Father everything when He sent Jesus Christ into the World to carry out the Father’s will.  GOD gave His heart out for you and me!  Yes, thank you Father GOD, thank you my Saviour Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Today, this is the only reason, true believers in Christ all over the world celebrate Christmas – yes, it is the one day in a year, we set aside to commemorate the First Coming of Jesus Christ, born in a little manger in a town called Bethlehem.

Yes, you see, the Bible tells us the whole human race has fallen into sin as a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience to GOD’s command in the Garden of Eden.  Adam and Eve had broken GOD’s Holy Law and through their sin, all humanity, including you and me have fallen into GOD’s terrible penalty for sin – which is Eternal Separation from the presence of our Holy GOD, unless we get our sins forgiven by Almighty GOD.  Alas, GOD’s heart was completely broken because man’s sin had broken our relationship with GOD and unforgiven sin, leads to spiritual death and separation from the presence of GOD forever.

But the Bible also says that GOD is also a GOD of Love and His mercies extends to the far corners of the Earth.  GOD desires that we do not go through this terrible judgment of sin.  He had a Divine Plan to save humanity and to offer forgiveness.

What was the reason for Jesus Christ coming to the world?  Jesus Christ came with only one mission and one mission only - to do the will of Father GOD to bear upon His body the sins of the entire world by dying on the Cross at Calvary.  He was buried, rose from the death on the third day and ascended to Heaven and is now seated on the right hand of Father GOD in Glory, making intercession for all who has put their trust in Him and have accepted Him as their personal Saviour.

Yes, Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost.  He came to save sinners and now offers forgiveness and Eternal Life to all who will come to Him in true repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Saviour and Lord.

Jesus said in John 3:16, - For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting Life.

Yes, Jesus Christ has shed His Holy and Precious Blood to fully and completely redeem you and me from the death penalty for sin.  He has made full payment to satisfy the holy requirements of our Righteous and Holy GOD.  Yes, Jesus Christ can forgive your sin and take you to your Heavenly Home to spend your Eternity in the presence of our Father GOD when you leave this world.  Father GOD in His infinite wisdom has at last provided the way out for you and me to return to His Presence for Eternity.

Today, if you do not know Jesus Christ and you have not turn to Him to ask for forgiveness of your sin and to accept Jesus Christ to be your personal Saviour and Lord, I plead with you not to stay in your unforgiven sin status any longer. Turn to Jesus Now. Give your heart over to Him and in simple and sincere faith, accept GOD’s Greatest Gift To You This Christmas.  Amen.
