In our Nation and across the
world today people are facing troubled times. Many things are
changing in people's lives. For some it may be their health,
for others it may be a job loss or career change. Granted
these are troubled
times and hard times but let me remind you Christian
brothers and sisters, these are not impossible times, for with
God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
These are not hopeless
times because we have promises in God's living word that
cannot and will not fail us. We also have a comforter and
guide in the Holy Spirit so therefore, we are not helpless!
In these changing and troubled times, Satan will try
to use his favorite tool from his tool box on you and that is
the tool of discouragement. However, this is where it is most
important to cling to the power and hope in God's word to
sustain you through his attacks and lies.
Your
situation can be looked at as an end or as a New Beginning for
you. When God closes one door child of God, he will open
another one for you. He has promised to never leave you
nor forsake you but to go with you until the end of the world,
even through death! What do you have to fear?
Who
sends fear? Does God word not say that God hath not given us
the spirit of fear, but of Power and of love and of a sound
mind? God doesnt give fear. Satan does.
Here is your cure for fear :
FAITH!
No, Satan doesn't want you to have
faith. He doesnt want you to think you have the power to
overcome anything through Christ, even though that's a promise
in God's word, that we can do all things through Christ which
strengthens us and that he that is in us is greater than he
that is in the world.
Satan doesn't want you to be
reminded of that today. He would rather you feed your fear
than your faith. Why? Because when you feed fear instead of
faith you get weak, you get discouraged, thus you have become
powerless but when you feed your faith my friend, you gain
power, strength and wisdom. Nothing's going to keep you
down. Don't give Satan an inch my friend or he will take
a mile!
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, you can
face today that God can't handle and get you through, a lot of
time, change is for our good. Remember the Children of Israel
had to be brought out of the land of Egypt before they could
be brought into the land of milk and honey.
That trip
could have been a lot quicker and a lot easier had they been
feeding their faith more than their fears. When
they fed their fears they wanted to turn back into a life as a
slave to just spare their life, when God's plan for them and
for all of us today is to not only give us life but to give it
more abundantly!
God brought us out of a church
that we tried so hard to help and to serve, where we had so
many roots and memories and brought us into a church that is
loving and working and we are so happy there.
We just tried to hold on to the old church
and be of help and God just about had to push us out, we had
to go just as far as we could go and when we could go no
farther, we finally realized we had to go.
That was hard but, had we not
left we would not be in the place God was wanting us to be. We
have been so happy, spiritually fed and nourished and loved
on, that is is just still overwhelming to think about in our
church today.
I shared that to give you the
example, sometimes change is good. Sometimes it isn't the end
at all but a beautiful new beginning. It's just a new
chapter in the Novel of your life. God may be wanting to bring
prosperity and happiness to you in a way that you could never
even dream of! Sometimes he has to 'bring us out', to bring us
in as he did the children of Israel.
