Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
St. Matthew 6: 9-13

Subject Prayer Request 10/06/09  Our son Sam is a wonderful young man who is 8 years old. He will be 9 in January. He is going into the 3rd grade in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Sam had been having some pain in his right knee most of this summer (2009). As the pain increased we realized that something might be wrong and we made an appointment for him to see an Orthopedist on 8/10/09. At this doctor’s appointment an X-ray was done of Sam's leg/knee and it showed that there was a mass that the doctor believed to be cancerous. Samuel went into the hospital just a few days later for a series of tests. He received a cat scan, MRI, and also a full body scan.

Our family met with the pediatric oncologist the following day and Samuel was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Osteosarcoma (stage 4). The cancer is in his right knee and it has also spread to both of his lungs. This is an aggressive type of cancer and it will be treated with aggressive forms of chemo. We are asking everyone to please lift up our little boy Samuel Gordon Bish in prayer. We pray for healing!! We serve a mighty God and we know that HE can heal Sam if that is his will for Sam's life. Please be prayer warriors along with our family as Sam starts this very difficult journey in his young life.

Today's date is August 16th, 2009 and all this has happened in 6 days.  His first appointment was on Monday the 10th and by Friday the 14th he was in the hospital getting his Chemo-port put in his chest and a biopsy done. I figured if an animated woman walking around the world for cancer can get passed to millions, then so can this story. PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING TO YOUR CONTACTS IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK! SAM CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH PRAYERS.  WE PRAY FOR HEALING AND PEACE FOR HIS FAMILY. . .There are also 2 younger sisters. Forwarded by Sister Darlene Yeager from, "Jesus is the way Ministries"

Subject Prayer Request 09/18/09
A seventeen month old boy named Maddix is in Children's Hospital.  He has been there since Sunday morning.  The family has been told that he has pneumonia and/or the flu.  His fever goes down and then goes back up.  His great grandmother says he just wants to be held and rocked.  He has no appetite.  The doctors seem to be at a loss for what to do and what is really wrong with him.

His great grandmother, Sharon, has requested that I tell everyone that I know to pray for him.  So, this is what I am doing.  Pray for the little fellow and his family.  His great grandmother, grandmother, and mother are all members of our church.  I am sure that every prayer will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.  Please feel free to pass this on to as many friends as you can.  Thank you, Ginger

Subject Prayer Request 04/29/09 Please lift up Preston Loyd in your prayers. 4 1/2 year old Preston was backed over by accident Wed. by a riding lawn mower by his grandfather, who lifted the mower off of him. He was air lifted to Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.  They live in Mooresville, NC. This happened sometime between 6-6:30 pm.  After 3 surgeons, 3 hours of surgery Wed. night to stop the bleeding, it is still hour by hour.  He has lost his left kidney, spleen, most of his intestines, esophagus was torn from his stomach, fracture (not know how many yet) and ribs broken.  He opened his eyes Wed. night (to his mother's singing) and his head appears to be OK but still lots to be determined.  The doctors say that if this would have been an adult or a larger child that he would not have made it this far.

Little children's bodies can make it through major things. All major organs were damaged except heart and lungs.  Such a sad situation. They are a great Christian family.  Cinamon and Ashton have one other child, daughter Taylor who is 7.  Friday morning update - Preston will be going into surgery this morning after 9 am for them to see if the esophagus is long enough for them to reattach it to his stomach.

Please pray for him that the surgery goes well and that they will be able to fix this. He needs our prayers so much! He is beginning to swell, which the doctor said would happen.  God hears our prayers and will answer them. Please pray for little Preston that he pulls through this. Please pass this on to any more Prayer Warriors that you know.  I will keep you updated. Thank you so much!  Sent in by Karen Brooks from Our Daily Bread.

Subject Prayer Request 04/17/09 I am a member of Looking to Jesus Outreach Ministries located at 7611 Pines Road, Shreveport, LA 71129.  Our church wants the people that have been rejected; drug dealers, prostitutes, etc.  However, it takes resources to serve the less fortunate.  As a small and growing ministry, we want to do more, but are in need of seed funds to expand our services.  Currently, we have about 50 members, and sow heavily, including the pastor, but we have needs as we serve more.

The immediate need is to purchase a van and begin a summer youth program.  A van is needed to transport people who need transportation, deliver food baskets to the needy and shut-in, and to transport our children to events. A summer program is needed to provide one-on-one learning to children from the community.  Please join us in prayer that God will meet these needs right now.  Thank you, Rachel

Subject Prayer Request 02/1/09  Dear Prayer Partners I received this Prayer Request today from our Pastor, "James Beach" from the First Baptist Church in East Liverpool. This letter came into him through the postal mail and we wanted to share it will all of you.  Please pray for Vanessa and her family.  Vanessa writes.... This is a special prayer request.  I would ask that you and your congregation send up a special prayer for my family and for me.  We are a family that has experienced chronic physical illnesses, isolating mental illnesses, disastrous financial problems, and much, much more.

But, we have survived!  In the long run I'm sure we will all be much stronger for it, but today, we are very, very tired.  Our future is bright, but we need help to get there.  I am living a long way away from my family.  My husband, son, daughter, grandchildren and more are in Colorado.  I am in Ohio, where my job has taken me.  We are doing what we can to stay close, but it's difficult for us all.  Our emotional reserves have been exhausted, and your prayers will help.  Believing in the Power of Prayer - I am sending this SOS to several churches across the country.  When we are able, we will pass those prayers onto others who need help.  Thank you, and I wish for the best for everyone!  Respectfully, Vanessa in Ohio.
