Faith Lifter

"The kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Matt. 13:45-46
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. Matthew 23:11

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many. Matthew 20:27-28

It should be a privilege for us to serve others. Jesus says to His disciples: "If you desire to be the greatest in the Kingdom of God, be servant of all."

Many take this wrongly and think they should be served by all. The ego pops up and wants to be satisfied. Glamour lurks around the corner to entice the servant of God.

One may have forgotten of what God saved him from, and pride may come up in his heart. He is now the “preacher”, you know, and he should receive all the blessings and attention from the "sheep". WRONG...

Becoming a Servant of the Most High, you're first going through the grindstone; in the melting pot; through the fire of purification. Just to get you smooth.

Nothing of self should be visible; denying of the flesh must be number 1. This may be a lengthy process and if one rebels it will even take much longer. If one hasn't gone through this he/she cannot be a true servant as Jesus mentioned.

We must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God. Acts 14:22

Once God has called a person into this capacity, most of the time he knows God's calling and becomes willing to be tested and trained for the task that lies before him.

Through this "training", God's word has become the basis and foundation upon which one builds and through which one moves, bringing forth the truth and the will of God to them in need of His help. The servant has become a funnel of God's grace and mercy, since he/she is an empty vessel filled with the things of God, rather than with the things of this world.

For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

The Kingdom of God is action, progress, growth and advance in the name of Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit. There are no setbacks, turn-backs, black-outs, slack-offs or slowdowns. The Kingdom of God is a forward force; "The Power of God."

The Kingdom of God is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. Luke 13:19

This is the life we must be striving for, and has truly been my desire since the Lord showed me His mercy and forgiveness some 49 years ago. He has NEVER changed and I have become a true proof of His faithfulness.

Once we've learned to serve others it becomes a great joy, because we have allowed God to receive what belongs to Him. God is the Master, while we just did as He directed us and as we were told. In the mean time, the Lord overloads the obedient servant with great blessings and joy.

It may appear to others that the "servant" is missing out on a lot of goodies, because the natural eye does not observe the gifts of God.

God's blessings are not in expensive cars and monetary gain, luxury or castles. It is the unspeakable joy and being full of glory, which are His blessings.

It is like possessing a pearl of great value. Glory to His awesome and glorious name. AMEN AND AMEN!!

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

If you want to do something eternally worthwhile, aim in the correct direction: going God's way.

All Glory to the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Please, read also the inspiring writing "His Servant" http://achristiancounselor.com/servant.html

Just remember, it is not through YOUR strength that His strength is made perfect ... but through your weakness. You bring Him your problems, He brings you grace.
