John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the U.S. Department of Defense. GPS satellites circle the earth twice a day in a very precise orbit and transmit signal information to earth. GPS receivers take this information and use triangulation to calculate the user's exact location.

GPS was originally intended for military applications, but in the 1980s, the government made the system available for civilian use. The 24 satellites that make up the GPS space segment are orbiting the earth about 12,000 miles above us. They are constantly moving, making two complete orbits in less than 24 hours. These satellites are traveling at speeds of roughly 7,000 miles an hour.

A few weeks ago our son Joshua, who is a pharmacy technician for a local area pharmacy, was flown to Boston Massachusetts to train employees in the stores in that area.  And on his last day there around 3 o'clock am, he was trying to find his way to the Airport. He typed into his GPS system the address, city, state, and location of the airport.  But it kept coming up, "relocating".  Driving down the freeway at high speeds, and not knowing where he was at was very frustrating.

Finally the GPS system said to turn right on the nearest exit ramp.  That ramp took him to the top of a roof for Bus Station parking.  I can only imagine how lost he must of felt not knowing where he was at in the middle of the night, and with no direction to the airport.  At that point he started asking people for directions and he just made it to the airport in time.

Gods (GPS)  or  "Gods Plan of Salvation"

The Bible tells us that God not only knows where we are at any given moment of the time, but He knows all about us.  The very hairs of our head are all numbered.  He knows our thoughts, our desires, and the intent of our heart.  He knows our past, and our future.  He knows our beginning, and our end.  We cannot run from God, nor can we hide from Him.

The Bible says that all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.  God sees us right where we are.  He is watching over us at all times.  He never sleeps nor slumbers, but He is as close as the mention of His name.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

We chose to disobey God and to go our own way.  We still make that choice today, and the result is separation from God.  There is only one way to restore our relationship with God, and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ.  God loved us so much and is not willing that any should be lost, so He sent His only Son to the world, to pay the penalty for our sins.

Jesus is the answer for the world today!

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

But where sin once reigned, Gods Grace did much more abound.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Let me tell you a truth.  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Today, God may be standing at the door of your heart.  And He is tenderly calling your name.  It may be that He has been patiently waiting and watching to see if you will hear His voice and open the door.  Will you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and invite Him into your life?

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

If you have asked yourself this question, "What must I do to be saved", the answer is simply this.  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.

The Bible says, if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Hand in Hand Publications March 2008

It is our joy to welcome back to Hand in Hand Publications this month as our Guest Writer, our dear friend from the mountains of Tennessee, Karen Brooks.

God has blessed us with two healthy boys, Joshua age 8 and Caleb age 11. We reside in the Hills of Tennessee and try to allow God to work in our lives wherever and in which ever way He chooses.

Our calling is Missions and we have been given an internet devotional ministry which we call Daily Bread 4today.  We are also blessed to be a part of a wonderful ministry through Samaritans Purse working as Prayer Coordinator for the Operation Christmas Child project here in East Tennessee.

We have a website called, Love Notes from Heaven that is accessible 24 hours a day and was also a gift from God and a friend who set that up for us. We love God and we have been saved since we were 12 years of age. The best thing that ever happened to me and the best friend I could have ever found is Jesus, our Lord and Savior. May God bless you today and always! Karen Brooks.

This month, Karen writes a wonderful message entitled, "Remember Me" taken from the view of the thief who was crucified next to Christ.  She writes of the hope and the mercy that we find in Christ Jesus as we remember His suffering and His death upon the cross, which was for our sins.

I invite you to take a moment and visit Karen's page by clicking on the Hand in Hand Publication link below. I know you will be blessed.  I would appreciate it also if you would take a little time to let her know that you visited her message this month.
